The 5th Meeting of the Certified Trainers :

In a very friendly and family atmosphere, the NCFLD family members have enjoyed their periodic seminar with the accompany of prof. Samir Helal the director of the NCFLD and IBCT, Middle East & North Africa division and Dr. Ahmed Metwally, the vice Director of NCFLD. This event was on Wednesday 21 July 2010 at the Supreme Council for Universities. Prof. Samir explained the FLDP achievements and outcomes, in addition to presenting the next steps. The NCFLD has the pleasure to announce the following dates for the interview for the TOT Preparatory level and Supplementary level.

On 19th Monday, July and 20th Thursday July 2010.

Opportunity to complete the training of trainers, which had duration of 3 days to accredited Preparatory Program :

Concerning the staff members who attended the training in quality field, which had a duration of 3 days and had not been completed, the National Centre for Faculty and Leadership Development is pleased to provide an opportunity for those who wish to complete the three remaining days of this session to the preparatory program accredited by the Centre, and become certified as Basic Trainer by the Center.

The Centre will bear the costs of the three-day referred to, without incurring any cost from the trainer side.

Delivering the certificates of the Libyan certified associate Trainers :

The National Centre for Faculty and Leadership Development (NCFLD) has the pleasure to announce delivering the certificates of the Libyan certified associate Trainers, Supplementary Level, Workshop no. 11 held at Libya on Tuesday 12 January 2010 at the NCFLD office in Egypt.   Prof. Dr. Samir Riad Helal and Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Metwally have the honour to deliver the certificates themselves to Prof. Dr. Ezz El-Din Franka who received the certificates on the behalf of the rest of the trainers. 


TOT Programs in Quality Assurance and Accreditation in higher Education: The kick off :

All the programs are certified from the IBCT and will be delivered by the best Internationally Certified Trainers in the Middle East. Now you can join The Certified Trainer program :

In the context of the continuality of the project’s activities, the National Center for faculty & Leadership Development (NCFLD) is pleased to announce opening the registration for the International Certified Trainers program which will be held in Cairo. Your university (or you personally) should contribute to the total cost by paying 40% of the cost. Cost is L.E. 15.000, which means that your university (or you) should pay L.E. 6000.
You have to register by clicking this link Certified Trainer Program Registration. Shortly, you will be contacted to attend the admission interview. Those who will pass will be asked to pay previously mentioned fees.


A Protocol has been signed between the NCFLD and the High Committee of Medical specialties, Ministry of Health :

According to the signed protocol, the National Center for faculty & Leadership Development (NCFLD) will certify the training system, training materials and trainers to the Egyptian Medical Fellowship Board, Ministry of Health in several medical specialties. Good news for all university staff members: Now you can join our TOT pograms :

In the context of the continuality of the project’s activities, the National Center for faculty & Leadership Development (NCFLD) is pleased to announce opening the registration for the Train of the Trainers programs in order to prepare new qualified trainers for the Egyptian Universities. This new campaign will start with TOT Preparatory Program (an introductory course with duration of a week) that will be conducted at three different locations (Cairo - Tanta - Assiut) starting at the last week of October 2009. Then a TOT Supplementary Program (an advanced level with duration of ten days) will be conducted starting from the third week of October 2009, which will be held in Cairo. Your university (or you personally) should contribute to the total cost by paying 40% of the cost. The Preparatory course (level I) cost is L.E. 1500 while the Supplementary (the advanced level) cost is L.E. 2500, which means that your university (or you) should pay L.E. 600 for the preparatory and L.E. 1000 for the supplementary level. Please be informed that we have very limited vacancies so come to the center as soon as possible to pay the fees and assure your place. A great closing ceremony for the (Supplementary Level) workshop in Libya :

During the period 10 – 18 August, 2009, NCFLD has conducted a supplementary TOT for Libyan staff members. This HRD event was held in cooperation with the Quality Assurance Center of Libyan Universities. The supplementary course was attended by 14 trainees and facilitated by 3 senior CT's. Participants have expressed their great satisfaction and they were convinced that the world class training they got has enhanced their skills & maximized their potentials to improve the quality of education in their universities, Additionally, participants expressed their wishes to proceed with NCFLD and join the 3rd advanced CT level to become Internationally Certified Trainers. TOT programs are now available for all professions, teachers, physicians and others registration for October workshop :

NCFLD has the pleasure to announce that NCFLD/IBCT TOT programs are now available for physicians, teachers and those who work in the business sector and any other individuals. The first private workshop will be conducted during the first half of October 2009.The registration fees is 1500 LE. .There is limited number of trainees,20.The priority will be given to those who will pay first. If you are interested, kindly register at the Preparatory Level.

A great closing ceremony for the TOT workshops in Libya :

In collaboration with the Libyan Center for Quality Assurance and Accreditation, the NCFLD has conducted two TOT (prep level) workshops in Tripoli and Benghazi. The total numbers of participants were 14 and 13 respectively. The trainees are professors from different Libyan universities. During the closing ceremony, they have indicated that they gained many practical skills regarding how to train their colleagues. They emphasized that their attitudes towards the role of training in the development of the Libyan higher education have been positively changed. The NCFLD Annual Seminar: the Atmosphere & Impressions :

In a very friendly and family atmosphere, the NCFLD family members have enjoyed their annual seminar with the accompany of prof. Samir Helal the director of the NCFLD and IBCT, Middle East & North Africa divisionand Mr. Erik Boshuizen the Director of the IBCT, European division. Prof. Samir explained the FLDP achievements and outcomes. Also, the new SCU decree of establishment of the National Center for faculty and leadership development has been announced and discussed. Mr. Erik the director of the IBCT, European division acknowledged the great achievements and progress that have been made by the project and the FLDP/NCFLD team. He also praised the decisiveness and leadership of the Egyptian government in improving the higher education. The current NCFLD challenges have been discussed with the whole family and they agreed that the 5 top challenges at the moment are: 1. Harvesting the fruits of the free education.
2. Seeding the change seeds in your institution, specifically in the classrooms.
3. Turning the students' frustrations into motivation.
4. Lift yourself to the next TOT level.
5. Action: unify and multiply yourself as TOT trainers. The new group assignments and their tasks have been announced. The way of joining these groups is declared and will be available on the website starting from next week. At the end of the seminar participants discussed their ideas and debated about many interesting training issues and continued their discussions during the lunch.This event has been published in the IBCT global website: Take Me There


A new location for the center :

Renovation of the new location for the NCFLD,IBCT middleast and North Africa division is under construction.


An agreement has been signed with the Academy of scientific research to train the young researchers :

SNG Program, round2 is in progress upto 20th July 2009.

The NCFLD is preparing for an international HRD conference in Egypt, under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education in Egypt. It's expected to be held at the first quarter of the next year. Please visit our website regularly to stay updated with all the details of such a big event.
